The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially issued the admit cards for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026. Candidates who have successfully submitted their application forms for the 404 vacant seats in the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA along with the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Naval Academy can now download their hall tickets from the official portal (upsc.gov.in).

The written examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 20, 2026 across various designated exam centres nationwide. Candidates are required to carry a printed copy of their admit card along with a valid original photo identity proof to the examination hall.

Vacancy Details & Eligibility Criteria

A total of 404 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Below is the detailed wing-wise distribution and educational qualification required for each stream:

1. Educational Qualification

• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 12th Class exam under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force and Navy Wings of NDA & 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at INA: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the 12th Class exam under the 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized Board/University.

2. Age Limits & Marital Status

• Marital Status: Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
• Age Window: Candidates born not earlier than January 02, 2008, and not later than January 01, 2011, are eligible.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee required at the time of form submission was as follows:

• General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹100/-
• SC / ST Candidates: Exempted (Nil)
• Female Candidates (All Categories): Exempted (Nil)
• Payment Modes: SBI Net Banking, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or cash deposit via SBI Bank Challan.

Selection Process

Selection for the prestigious Defence Forces through NDA & NA II 2026 involves a multi-tier rigorous screening process:

• Stage I: Written Examination (900 Marks)
  • Mathematics (Code No. 01): 300 Marks (2.5 Hours)
  • General Ability Test / GAT (Code No. 02): 600 Marks (2.5 Hours)
• Stage II: SSB Interview / Personality Test (900 Marks)
  • Stage-1: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests & Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT).
  • Stage-2: Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks (GTO), Interview, and Conference.
• Stage III: Medical Examination — Comprehensive health screening by Armed Forces Medical Officers.
• Stage IV: Final Merit List — Prepared based on combined marks of Written Exam and SSB Interview.

• Visit the official portal of UPSC at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
• On the homepage, click on the link titled "e-Admit Card: National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026".
• Read the important instructions displayed on the screen carefully and click on the 'Yes' button to proceed.
• Select your preferred login option: By Registration ID (RID) or By Roll Number.
• Enter your Registration ID / Roll Number, Date of Birth, and the Captcha code shown on the screen.
• Click on the Submit button to generate your hall ticket.
• Your NDA 2 Admit Card 2026 will appear on the screen. Download the PDF and take a clear printout for examination day.
