UPSC Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026: Overview
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the E-Admit Card for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026. Candidates who successfully qualified in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 and filled out the Detailed Application Form (DAF-I) are eligible to download their hall tickets. Selection Process
The UPSC Civil Services Selection Procedure comprises three sequential stages. Candidates must clear each stage to qualify for final selection:
- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination – Objective type screening test (Completed).
- Stage 2: Main Examination – Written descriptive examination consisting of 9 papers (Current Stage).
- Stage 3: Personality Test / Interview – Comprehensive interview assessing personal suitability for public service.

upsc.gov.inorupsconline.nic.in. - Navigate to the "E-Admit Cards for Various Examinations of UPSC" link on the homepage.
- Select "Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2026".
- Read the essential instructions carefully and proceed to the login page.
- Choose your login option: via Registration ID (RID) or Roll Number.
- Enter your Registration ID / Roll Number, Date of Birth, and the displayed Captcha code.
- Click on the Submit button. Your UPSC CSE Mains E-Admit Card will appear on the screen.
- Download the PDF and print a clear hard copy to bring to the examination venue along with a valid photo ID proof.
