The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in coordination with the National Testing Agency (NTA), has officially released the notification for the PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI) 2026. Scholarship Benefits
Selected candidates receive financial grants directly into their bank accounts to cover school fees, hostel fees, and educational materials:
- Class 9 Students: Financial assistance up to ₹75,000 per annum.
- Class 11 Students: Financial assistance up to ₹1,25,000 per annum.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the PM YASASVI Scholarship 2026, applicants must fulfill the educational, category, and income standards defined by the ministry:
Educational Qualifications
- For Class 9 Scholarship: The applicant must have successfully passed Class 8 during the academic year 2025-26 and must currently be enrolled in Class 9 in a recognized school.
- For Class 11 Scholarship: The applicant must have successfully passed Class 10 during the academic year 2025-26 and must currently be enrolled in Class 11 in a recognized school.
Category & Income Limit
- Category: Must belong to OBC, EBC, or DNT (De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Tribes) categories.
- Annual Family Income: The total annual income of the applicant's parents/guardians from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000 (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand).
Age Limit Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the birth date criteria as defined below:
- For Class 9 Applicants: Candidates should be born between 01-04-2008 and 31-03-2012 (both dates inclusive).
- For Class 11 Applicants: Candidates should be born between 01-04-2006 and 31-03-2010 (both dates inclusive).
